On this route you can admire the beauty of a sparse and semi-arid dry forest. It is the habitat of various species such as the Tumbes Chat-Tyrant, the Rufous Flycatcher, the Peruvian Thick-knee and even the Peruvian Plantcutter; some of these species are considered priority conservation objects in the Bosque de Pómac Historic Sanctuary.
The route runs along a 5.2-kilometer trail that takes about an hour and a half on horseback. The low altitude landscapes offer us the opportunity to enjoy a placid walk through the forest, being able to visit during the tour the El Chero Dune, Las Salinas lookout and the Tumbes Swallow Route.
